I've read this piece three times and I don't know whether she's upset that bloggers and tabloids (which is just a paper size, not a descriptor of content, but whatever) have ruined journalism -- or that journalists are no longer doing their job?
I think she's complaining about the publish-first-substantiate-later mentality which is driving news today. The most recent example: a congresswoman who was pronounced dead by major news outlets before she was actually dead (she did die later). Does anyone know if this kind of false reporting is happening more often now than before?
