Jay Rosen on ethics, bloggers vs. journalism debate

This may interest me more from a PR perspective than anything else. But I have been rethinking my advice around working with journalists vs. working with bloggers.

Typically I would say that they are pretty similar, except that you have to customize your approach even more so than you do with journalists.

But my email inbox tells me that for every well-written, relevant and on target pitch there are about 75 blanket pitches teeming with senseless crap (disclaimer: my degree is in PR and I only recently expanded my role to include marketing as I went client side. so I feel entitled to beat up my own).

Regardless, Jay Rosen is weighing in again on the difference between the two as it applies to ethics. An interesting read....including the comments challenging him.
