Share 'What is this columnist trying to say?'

I've read this piece three times and I don't know whether she's upset that bloggers and tabloids (which is just a paper size, not a descriptor of content, but whatever) have ruined journalism -- or that journalists are no longer doing their job? Mainstream Media Dilemma Or is she saying both? I'm confused what I'm supposed to take away from this...what sayeth the peanut gallery?
